Firuzə
A basement classic by Fountains Square: Turkish and Azerbaijani cooking, generous portions, honest prices.
The menu rests on the pillars of Azerbaijani cooking — saj-fired meat, kebab varieties, dolma and saffron plov — joined by fresh herbs, motal cheese and tandir bread. For dessert there is pakhlava and seasonal fruit; ayran, compote and brewed tea are the classic drinks. Vegetarians will find herb qutab and vegetable dishes.
Firuzə receives guests in Baku at Tərlan Əliyarbəyov küçəsi 14. Price level: ₼₼. Book ahead for evenings and weekends; larger parties should ask about private rooms.
